book cover design
I love the idea of helping stories come to life through my collage art. Every book has its own unique world, and my goal is to capture that essence on the cover. Whether it’s bold and dramatic or subtle and intricate, I’ll work with you to create a design that reflects the heart of your story. Using textures, colors, and layered imagery, I craft covers that invite readers in and give them a sense of what awaits inside.
From epic adventures to futuristic worlds, my collage art brings these unique narratives to life visually. I see each project as a rich opportunity for collaboration, with the power to transform words into vivid, imaginative visuals. Here are some of the stories I’ve helped tell through my cover designs.

For the last 5 years, my hardworking, now retired, father toiled over his most masterful work yet. Though he spent his career doubling as a newspaper editor and Yale-educated organist, he has always carried a passionate interest in hard science fiction. From the realms of Star Trek to the eerie ambience of the 1960s TV hit The Prisoner, Tom has entertained his interest in the genre from many different angles, ultimately culminating in authoring an over 200,000-word tetralogy exploring nebulous, existential concepts that challenge our history and future of humanity.
When my father asked me to create the cover art for his magnum opus creation earlier this year, I accepted the challenging commission with great reverence. Though it is important to acknowledge our familial connection, both of us regarded this task as one of business. He had a vision, and so I did my best to fulfill it.
No Legacy So Rich presents a far-reaching landscape. The muted earthy tones hint of a dystopian environment without being completely doom-and-gloom. Throughout the many layered elements, one can notice the various remnants leftover by a once-flourishing society. Though not in complete disrepair, the foreboding picture implies something sinister has occurred, and the Earth is no longer once as she was.
But perhaps the most obvious obstruction to the cover is the great sphere of galaxies, ripping a concentrical portal to pristine space. And one would find that circles, or rather spheres, are the inciting incidents in the novel.
The original collage is analog, and my very first foray into three-dimensional work. The concentric circles recess within the frame, making it appear as though it is a portal one could fall into if they peered just a little too close.
